The Story Behind the Story

Leaps and Bounce was part of a two-book deal with Rooting for You and was informed by raising tadpoles with my two daughters. Two little boys had come to our door selling tadpoles and we thought it would be fun to watch their metamorphosis into frogs. (When they leapt out of our aquarium, we took them back to the pond!) 

In a bigger sense, the book is about watching my daughters grow. It’s a nod to the leaps we all take as we grow up and a reminder to enjoy the surprising changes along the way.
