The Story Behind the Story

I know from watching my own kids that children face all sorts of trepidation every fall when they begin a new school year. Starting kindergarten can be especially daunting. I wanted to help.  

The “special agent” angle came to me after seeing a spy exhibit at the Discovery Museum in New York. I wrote this book as guidebook or instruction manual for “special ops agents” tackling a new “mission.” It’s packed with “top-secret info” designed to make kids feel smart and help them feel more self-confident at school because they know what to expect.
