LETTERS FROM KIDS
I love hearing from readers. Here's just one
of 22 thank you letters I received after a recent
school visit. I particularly like Will's vote of confidence,
since I've never written a chapter book before!

Other comments from other letters:
"I admire how you kept editing and editing and
editing when you were writing the story!" —Sean
"It made me feel very warm when you smiled. I
forgot to tell you but every month I make a family
newspaper. In the March issue, I added THE TOOTH
MOUSE review!" —Ruthie
"One of my favorite parts was when Sophie did
a jeté. I do ballet and we do jetés, too! —Lanie
"I hope to become an illustrator and a writer when
I grow up like you." —Lila
"Can you write a story about the tooth pig?" —Colin
